House of Corsets

July 22, 2015

Ever since the 60′s, the use of girdles and similar shapewear has been shunned and shelved as unfashionable and restrictive BUT recently there’s been somewhat of an underground corset renaissance goin’ on. With celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Jessica Alba frequently sporting waist trainers to achieve their enviable curves, it’s once again become a hot topic! Personally, I love the look of corsets! They’re romantic, ornate and have a vintage appeal. Another major advantage is they look good on absolutely EVERY shape!!!! Unfortunately, many brands on Ebay CLAIM they sell gorgeous “corsets” for a cheap price, but in reality, […]

Exploring Istanbul

July 3, 2015

As you may already gather, I have an incurable case of wanderlust. On my Pintrest board, I’ve collected quite a few locations I’ve wanted to see over time and sometimes I whip these photos out out and have a visual break, mentally. Some of these places include Santorini in Greece, Petra in Jordan, and many many more!! I’ve always wanted to visit Istanbul. It’s such a global city and one of the fastest-growing metropolitan economies in the world. It’s fascinating how it’s located in both Europe and Asia and has such a blend of many cultures with a rich heritage […]

Photoshoot at Belgravia Studios, London

June 14, 2015

Some fashion bloggers have REALLY nailed the art in posing for natural looking photos. You know which ones I mean! Golden sunlight, strategically highlighting cascading waves as the stylish subject appears to laugh charmingly and merrily into the distance. It’s all very convincing when you scroll through these #iwokeuplikedis mini masterpieces on Instagram. I’m not really one of those bloggers!! Confession: I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I kinda just usually stand one leg behind the other and do a rather awkward tight lipped Mona Lisa smile. Less imaginative but hey, it works and it’s my thang. Truthfully, I […]

“Savage Beauty” Exhibition

June 1, 2015

Today, I’m writing a blog post from London! I’ve been here for almost two weeks as I really needed a change of scenery and a break from the balmy, blistering heat! I’ve always adored London (and any city that has an energetic buzz! As you might gather, I’m not much of a nature oriented kinda girl!) Except maybe the beach or Hyde Park … Whenever I come here, I always try to fit in a few exhibitions and this time around I was really dying to check out Alexander McQueen’s “Savage Beauty” exhibition at the Victoria and Albert Museum. This […]

May Musings

May 25, 2015

This may sound dramatic, but whenever I see shoes I absolutely LOVE, my heart skips a beat and I’m filled to the brim with yearning. The worst part is, just like love, when it comes to matters of the heart, it’s very unpredictable and knows no discrimination – I could fall in LOVE with a cheap as chips yet gorgeous pair of shoes ordered from OR an unattainable and deliciously impractical pair from Christian Louboutin. I just never know when the shoe cupid will strike me. (actually I DO! The little twerp always gets me when I’m at Level […]
