The Cubist Collection

May 29, 2016

I love impressionism, Rococco and Art Nouveau BUT when it comes translating a movement into contemporary fashion – there’s NOTHING cooler than the abstract, trippy designs of cubism. Inspired by Picasso and Sadequain’s paintings, I created a mini collection that is bold, brazen, youthful and a bit bohemian. Even though the pieces are flamboyant and colorful, the translucent quality of the chiffon make the pieces easy to wear and versatile – particularly the kaftans. Perfect if you want to stand out at fashion shows, parties, music festivals or even thrown over ripped jeans for a beachy weekend brunch. To accessorize […]

JLT Outdoor Gallery

May 21, 2016

You know what Dubai needs MORE of? (’s not a mall) Street Art!!!!! Im a big fan of outdoor galleries and the energetic vibe they bring to open spaces – which is why I was stoked when I got the opportunity to create a mural for the region’s first outdoor gallery situated in Jumeirah Lake Towers. JLT’s Art Outdoor Gallery is an exciting project launched by Concordia and it’s all about bringing art to the community by creating a platform for local artists to promote themselves by allowing them to reach a larger public. They provided all the artists with […]

Burger and Lobster

May 15, 2016

When I was thirteen or so, my family and I took a trip to Boston and we drove around Cape Cod all summer, exploring the picturesque coastal towns and soaking up the salty sea air. It was there that I fell in love with traditional Maine lobster rolls. It’s a sandwich filled to the brim with lobster meat, soaked in butter and served on a steamed hot dog bun. It’s a perfect, no fuss, classic sammich that is juuust a little bit fancy. Since that trip, I was hooked. My enthrallment wasn’t just chalked down to nostalgia – when done […]

Alice in Bloomingdales

April 12, 2016

This month I have been working alongside Bloomingdales Dubai on some really exciting, awesome projects that are a bit different to what I normally do! On March 25th, Sofia Guellaty popped into the store for a special workshop on styling. Sofia is the editor-in-chief of Style and has a TONNE of creative ideas about style that she shared with a select few at the “Fridays on Fleek” breakfast at Bloomingdales. She began by stating that there ARE no rules in fashion but she highly recommended against being a trend slave by dressing for your body shape. It’s relatively easy […]

Feelin’ “Racy” at the Luxury Closet

March 22, 2016

It’s a really exciting time in Dubai right now with Art Week going on and Fashion Forward just around the corner BUT sandwiched right in the middle of all this chicness are the Meydan Races. Extravagant hats and luxurious fashion always get MY pulse racing! I was really excited to draw live for The Luxury Closet’s horse race themed afternoon tea at their headquarters. The mood was set with vintage postcards, award ribbons, flamboyant headpieces and of course, lots and lots of couture. They even had little “grass” lawns which gave such an adorable ambiance. Here’s a few photos of […]

Introducing the Wanderlust Collection

March 17, 2016

For the LONGEST time now, I have been dreaming of starting my own label. I wanted to combine art and fashion and find a way to transform my paintings into eye-catching and striking YET very wearable and flattering textile prints. I have always loved designers that have a feminine, sophisticated flair like Kate Spade and Alice and Olivia and I have an appreciation for bold, graphic Scandinavian designers such as Marimekko. I love sweet, quirky prints that tell a story. In fact, I’m DRAWN to them (hyuk hyuk) I finally found a way of digitally printing my paintings onto fabric […]
