Fashion Week RTW Illustrations

I’m always so inspired when I peruse through Vogue and check out fashion week. By nature, I am more of a couture kinda girl but this year I picked some of my favorite ready to wear collections to illustrate. Here goes ..

Marchesa was stunning and had so many gorgeous textures especially the shimmery nude dress and the shaded pastel dress on the far left. I loved the rich, berry fuchsia hues too.

I love the delicate, sheer layering and feminine romance of the Alexander McQueen RTW collection.

This Chloe dress was one of my favorites. I love the unexpected colors and how it seems to just float down the runway.

I could picture myself wearing ALL the looks at the Lanvin show. It had lots of pleated, draping details and I love the pencil skirt with the fan-like pleats. It reminds me of Japanese origami.

Chanel featured their trademark tweeds and i love how the array of rainbow colors was weaved into the fabrics. Colorful but totally wearable.

Bright and summery prints spotted at Dolce and Gabbana.

Carolina Herrera’s airy, dreamlike collection was probably my favorite this year. I found a really lovely backstage shot of the designer at the show so I decided to paint it. I love mixing it up and illustrating backstage shots as well as traditional runway poses because the angles and details are so interesting.

Last but not least, 50 shades of cream from Dior and a 70′s geek chic vibe spotted at the Gucci RTW show.
