October 20, 2017

It’s so easy to look GREAT at the gym when you have a peachy, insta-worthy butt and pancake-flat abs BUT what if your body is “under construction?” Here are some non slobby ideas for the gym. This actually took me a while to figure out, so I hope this guide is helpful for you. 1. All about the drape with a lil bit of shape Decide which parts of your body you currently like RIGHT NOW. I really think loose, drapey tops look great paired with tight leggings and it’s a look that suits MOST people. After all, have you […]

A guide to tailors in Dubai 101

October 11, 2017

Have you ever been really disappointed with the results of getting outfits made by a tailor? You may have chosen the fabrics, given it to someone recommended and gotten back your garment only to be totally bummed out. It turned out droopy, sad and “homemade” looking. The color and fabric were gorgeous! What went wrong? After that experience, you decided that tailors are not for you and gave up. Sound familiar? Creating my Aqua Apartment

March 26, 2017

So, it’s no secret that I’ve always loved shades of aqua. It’s just so soothing and feminine. I’ve never really gotten into decorating or interior design before but once I moved into a new apartment – I considered it a fresh canvas for my dream beach house. I thought I’d write a quick blog post about the big day and how I incorporated illustration and art into my big day. First, were the invitations. Obvs, I illustrated them. I went for something stylised and elegant. There were three invitations for three different events- the mehendi, the Reception and the Valima. Traditionally, the mehendi is a party with choreographed dancing, music and opulent colors. We had a whole Arabian Nights […]

Date night at Katana Dubai

October 3, 2016

This year is my favorite time of year! When the blistering heat of the city FINALLY subsides and you think to yourself with satisfaction that “winter is coming.” Unlike Game of Thrones, winter over HERE ain’t so sinister. It’s when all the fun, outdoorsy stuff fills up your calendar and you really can enjoy Dubai once again. Ripe Market, jazz nights, shisha, food trucks and of course, fine dining with a view. I discovered a total gem of a restaurant last week – Katana Dubai. The very hip and slick Japanese restaurant is a favorite with celebrities in LA and […]

Paris, je t’aime!

August 27, 2016

Whenever I am in UK for the Summer, I plan a little mini break somewhere exciting . This year, I went to Paris for four days with my usual travel companions who you probably recognise from all my travel posts – my BFF and sister. I gave them ONE ultimatum and it wasn’t very sophisticated … I will ONLY go to Paris if we go to Disney world. “But you’re 31!!!!! Grow up!!” they huffed, exasperated. “DISNEY!!!” I insisted brattily, stomping my foot like Verruca Salt from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Reluctantly, they agreed. They tried to squirm out […]
